On 3rd January, 2013, Kalki, a I year Intermediate student of Vanur village, Villupuram district, Tamil Nadu, left her house at 3 pm to attend to nature’s call in a nearby casuarina grove.
She never returned home but was later found dead, hanging from a casuarina tree with her dupatta.
The family, villagers & activists alleged she was raped and murdered & raised doubts about a caste hindu & asked for a CBI inquiry. The police is trying to close the case as suicide from depression. Two months have passed. No progress has been made in the investigation to solve the case. Instead the police threaten & abuse the girl’s family & activists from Liberation Panthers party (VCK) who are fighting for justice.
She is not some lucky Nirbhaya from Delhi.. She is Kalki, a Dalit girl from some farthest corner of this country.
