The constitution prepared by Dr. Ambedkar has not been implemented as most of its provisions remain unattended due to insensitive and unresponsive bureaucracy. A civil service dedicated to the cause of society and capable of transforming unequal and oppressive hierarchies into a perfect equalitarian system is the need of the hour. Keeping this objective in mind, the Dhamma Bhoomi in Palwal, Haryana, has accepted the challenge and initiated the process of establishing an IAS academy designed to help future civil servants meet the challenges of modern society.
The aspirants will be provided free of cost residential coaching by dedicated faculty with state of the art library services, including video conferencing, 24 hours a day. Besides lodging and boarding, the academy provides most conducive academic and cultural environment for fuller personality development free of cost.
Classes for prelims and mains examination in General Studies, History, Political science, Sociology and Public Administration were conducted last year. The second batch starts in the first week of August, 2012. Male students who have cleared their graduation or appearing in the final exams can apply for admission to the academy. Students who have cleared 10+2 and ready to peruse their graduation in humanities with distance mode are also admitted for three years.
