Hello,

 

This art exhibition of mine is to express the painful fact of neglect and apathy in the management of the Venkatappa Art Gallery. Since there is no facility for the spotlight, an essential requirement of a gallery, the help of lanterns is the most important aspect of this exhibition.

It is a pity that the artists have been convinced many times about the existence of this gallery but no improvement has been seen. To express all this helplessness, two wall installation artworks were created in this exhibition. In addition, a performance art piece is being presented for all four days of this exhibition, a hand-stitched coat that is part of Mr. Venkatappa’s attire. These artworks reflect the necessity and the imperative of the preservation of this gallery.

Finally, this art exhibition is an attempt to express that art and culture cannot be saved by artists alone and that the government’s responsibility is essential.
